And for organizations deploying Apple Vision Pro, new visionOS Restrictions give IT teams control over device behavior, including the ability to allow or restrict Bluetooth modification and iMessage usage.
Software and infrastructure lifecycle
Support also extends declarative management to how software and content get deployed and removed across the fleet. Package Uninstall closes the loop on software lifecycle by removing software when its configuration is removed, eliminating orphaned installs. Caching Service brings granular, declarative control over local content caching, easing network strain during large-scale updates and app deployments.
Real-time fleet visibility
Admins also get a clearer, faster picture of device health and status without waiting for a device to check in. The Extended Status Channel confirms that configuration landed on a device during enrollment, before it ever reaches an end user. Fleet Monitoring surfaces hardware health data (including camera, display and more) for iOS and iPadOS devices, helping IT catch failures before they take a worker off the floor. Enhanced Logging lets admins remotely trigger diagnostic collection for troubleshooting with no user involvement required, a meaningful gain for remote and shared-device environments. And a new Lockdown Mode Status field lets admins report on which devices have Apple’s extreme protection mode active while the setting itself remains user-controlled.
